Trex offers a square edge deck board for aesthetic reasons typically used as stair treads, or to "picture frame" to provide a clean, finished edge appearance on the walking surface. Trex also offers another product called fascia which is used as trim around the perimeter of the deck below the decks surface line to cover the rim joists.
