Will ice melting product damage this material? I have it installed in a small deck area that gets very little sun so melting icicles creates a danger.

The following snow/ice melt products are safe to use on newer generation Trex decking material: Calcium chloride or rock salt, Magnesium Chloride, Calcium Magnesium Acetate, Potassium Chloride. Alaskan Blue Ice Melter and Safe Paw ice melts are also acceptable to use on Trex decking. The products may leave a slight film on the decking after the weather changes, but this can easily be cleaned off with warm, soapy water. We appreciate you choosing Trex!
