Does it get hot in summer? I was thinking about making my dog a deck in his kennel to lay on and put his dog house.

It doesn’t get any hotter than anything else. We did just what you wanted. I made my dog run out of these and it has been fantastic.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I had a trex deck and on summer days it would scorch your feet after 8'. Honestly, that and the radiant heat and glare discouraged us from using it until dusk.
Was this Answer Helpful ?This is a SOLID material (not layered like wood fibers) with HIGHER DENSITY and THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY than wood or concrete. So it burns bare feet.
