When cutting the board, is the color solid through out.    I want to make sure having the cut edge exposed does not take away from the look of it.

Hello, Yes, the core of the board color is the same throughout. However, note that the core of the board does not match exactly to the cap of the board. The core of the board is a standard hue dependent upon the cap of the board, in this instance the SlateGray board would have a gray core.
