yes, but normally it needs to be in to a sunny location with lots of humidity like a bathroom-mine was hanging over my garden tub with a large window as well and it kept all of my friends and neighbors is the baby plants in fact I had to cut babies off and keep rooting them in canning jars I had so many, however I never had it outside, I lived in Indiana at the time. I need a large one here in phoenix but no one has them
