What size conduit is needed for three strands of 6 awg at 100'? so I'm not fighting the wire pull

For 3 - #6s a 1" conduit would work well and make an easy pull, but I am a bit puzzled by just 3 - #6s. If this is either a 120 or 240 volt circuit one of the #6s could be reduced to a #10 as a ground. If this is a 120/240 volt feeder to a subpanel you need 4 conductors, 3 - #6s and 1 - $10 ground.
