Is the finished surface food safe and is this a low odor application


We're happy to help, Judy. While Rust-Oleum HOME Countertop Kit will no longer off gas harmful fumes once it has fully cured, it is not considered to be a food safe coating. As long as you are not preparing or eating food directly on the surface then it is safe to be applied. This is also a water-based paint meaning it has a lower odor, but there will not be absolutely no odor. As always we recommend applying in a properly ventilated space by opening windows and using fans. -Rust-Oleum Product Support 14
