Do not use Zip N’ Mix – FastSet Repair Mortar to reset veneer stone back onto a mailbox. We typically would recommend QUIKRETE® Polymer Modifier Veneer Stone Mortar (No. 1137-85) for your repair. You may consider using QUIKRETE® Polyurethane Construction Adhesive (No. 9902-10) to adhere the stone back onto the mailbox as long as you can have the stone mechanically fixed in place until the adhesive has fully cured (typically 5 to 8 days). Always wear impervious gloves, such as nitrile, when working with polyurethanes. Please note that the bonding surfaces on the stone and mailbox will need to be sound, clean, unsealed/uncoated, and free of dust, dirt, loose debris, or any other potential bond breakers prior to application.
