Was this Answer Helpful ?Hello Diaz, thank you for you question regarding our 12lb Sheetrock All Purpose Joint Compound. It sounds like you have mold growing in your Joint Compound and we would recommend disposing of it as per your local municipalities code. In the future, when you are done using your Joint Compound, before closing the pail we recommend adding about 1" of water over the Compound. This will prevent mold from growing on the Compound. The next time you go to use the Compound just pour off the water and lightly mix the Compound and you'll be good to go.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Through it out, you probably had a rotten egg smell when you opened the bucket aswell. If you use it you will never get rid of the smell.
