This product is labeled as, "Garage Door" Foam Board. Can this product be used for a moisture barrier for insulating our basement cement walls?


In wall applications we would recommend our R-TECH insulations for interior concrete walls. This material is available at most Big Box stores. As for the moisture barrier, a concern is any moisture barrier over the wall could create a vapor trap between the cement and insulation board. I would consider an application of a liquid vapor retarder on the cement prior to installation of any insulation.
