Does this downspout adapter fit 3 in pvc pipe?


If you want to connect to Schedule 40, you need (1) 3" slip adapter for PVC to "drain and waste"/NDS and (2) a small segment of ASTM D2729 3" pipe.

This fitting fits over Schedule 30 3-in pipe, however unlike the 4-in adapters it will not fit in a Schedule 40 coupler.

It is the same size as a 3" pipe. It will not fit / join to either the inside or outside of a 3" pipe. You will need to get a 'couple' (a piece that joins two 3" diameter pipes together) and use that 'couple' for this. The adapter will also fit into other 3" elbows, etc., that 3" pipe use. Best advise - go to the store, and 'trial fit' the pieces together - that way you are sure it will work (surprised me today).
