Is this catch basin winter proof? How does it deal with freeze/thaw conditions?


We recommend that before installing the catch basin, you drill (4)1/8" (1 in each corner) holes in the bottom. When installed on a bed of 4-6" of gravel, the holes in the basin will allow the water to weep out slowly, which will prevent the water from freezing. The basin is made from Polypropolene which as a good tolerance to freezing temperatures.
