Does the convection fan cycle on and off in the air fry mode?

Some other appliances rely on recirculating air all the time because their heating element is only on the top section of the appliance, thus they need the fan constantly running to carry the heat of the element around the fan to the food. In our range, we have bake elements, broil elements, and the fan on the back of the oven. The heat distribution and air-frying effect is performed due to the interaction of natural and forced convection of these components and their effect around food.
