Maytag High Efficiency Agitator Medium ( 4.2-cu ft ) Top-Load Washer ( White )
Some reviews mention that deep water is not available on the "normal" cycle. Is this true? The description says deep water is available on all cycles.

We bought this washer and it was delivered 4 days ago. I am not at all happy with it. I had my white load with towels set on deep water because the sensor doesn't put enough water in the machine at all. I could not get it to fill up today, it kept washing them with small amount of water. I read the instructions again and noticed that I needed to move it off "normal" to get it to add the water. I reset it and washed the clothes again and this time the deep water worked. Ours came with a dented lid and the men who installed it wrote down for us to get a replacement. We went to Lowes today and told them not to replace it with the same type. I picked out a GE with knob to choose water levels. I don't want to try the HE again. We used to keep washers for 15 years. I doubt seriously these new ones will last anywhere near that long. Hopefully the GE GTW335ASNWW will be more like my old Kenmore.
Was this Answer Helpful ?It depends on which production run of the washer you have. If you have the model whose number ends in FW0, the deep water fill is available on all cycles. If the number ends in FW1, the deep water fill is available on all cycles except the Normal cycle.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The deep water option is not available on Normal cycle. It says so in the users manual. The product description and the answer from the Maytag expert is not correct. I use the Power Wash cycle when I want it to fill all the way.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The deep water option is NOT an option on normal cycle per the manual, but the description indicates that is does. It is false.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Hello! Deep Water Wash is available on any cycle for this specific model. Thank you for your inquiry on our Maytag appliances.
That is correct, deep water isn't available for normal wash but does work with power wash and some other cycles.
