Can this be used with porcelain tile?

Thank you for your inquiry regarding Mapei Products! Depending on the size of your tiles and the backer board you are adhering them too will dictate the use of the Type 1 or not. Type 1 has a size limitation of 6x6 or smaller on the floors and tiles no larger than 12 x 12's on the walls. Type 1 cannot be used over waterproofing membranes.
