Loctite 263 required. Will 271 work. 263 not available locally


The Loctite 263 is an industrial grade threadlocker having higher strength features and available through industrial outlets. The Loctite 271 is a low viscosity product with lower strength characteristics. Both will work on fasteners up to 1-inch diameter. However, if the specification is calling for Loctite 263 to be used there must be a reason for it. Therefore, you should contact the party providing that information for possible substitutes. We cannot tell you to make a substitution.
