what additional things do I need to buy to install and use this washer?

Hi there, Stan. We understand your inquiry about getting your new LG WT6100CW Top Load Washer up and running. To ensure a smooth installation and optimal performance, here are a few additional items you may need to purchase: Water Supply Hoses Two 3/4″ standard braided stainless-steel hoses (hot and cold) with 3/4″ GHT fittings for your water shut-off valves. Even if hoses are included in the box, upgrading to stainless-steel hoses can help reduce the risk of leaks over time. Drain Hose Extension or Standpipe If your laundry room drain is more than 96″ away or higher than the washer’s drain height, you’ll need an approved drain-hose extension kit or a properly plumbed standpipe (minimum 39″ high and 48″ maximum) to prevent water backflow. Electrical Outlet A grounded 120 V, 60 Hz receptacle located within 4 feet of the washer. Make sure it’s on a dedicated circuit rated for at least 15 amps to avoid tripping breakers. Leveling Tools or Anti-Vibration Pads (Optional) A carpenter’s level to adjust the leveling legs and ensure the washer sits perfectly flat. Anti-vibration pads can be added under each leg if your floor is particularly slippery or uneven. Troubleshooting Tip: If you notice your washer isn’t filling correctly, be sure to check the inlet hose screens on the back of the WT6100CW for any debris. Cleaning those fine mesh screens can restore proper water flow instantly. https://www.lowes.com/pd/LG-Top-Load-Washer/5014906293 For any further assistance or to schedule an installation check, please send us a private message on social media at @LGUSSupport and our team will be more than happy to explore possible solutions with you.
