I have a 40x60 barn ceiling. How many bags for r38?


According to the installation guidelines on the Lowes website (http://pdf.lowes.com/installationguides/031979174706_install.pdf), you need 15.3" of thickness to obtain an R-38. 19.4 bags cover every 1,000 sq ft and you have 2,400 sq ft of total area. You will need about 48.5 bags to cover your barn ceiling.
