Will it tell me if wire is live?


The battery barely works in this. It’s garbage. Save your money and time. Check out Southwire voltage detector. Way better

Hi Jerry yes these are voltage sensors and should only beep on a hot conductor. Before working on a circuit IDEAL recommends that you verify the conductor is not live by using a secondary test with a multi-meter to verify the conductor is not hot. Thanks Ron at ron.kipper@idealindustries.com
