Auto power off after 10 minutes of inactivity (no button pressed and no signals detected), the tester will emit one long beep (~0.5s) and then shut off note: if the flashlight is on, it will be also shut off
Low battery indication if battery voltage is less than around 2.4V, the green led in the tip will flash 3 times and the buzzer will send out one long beep, then turn off the device
Sensor does not work with DC circuits

Easy to use - cheaper than the name brand
I don't use these often so when I visited the store and saw these on sale next to the name brand ones, I decided to give it a shot. Worked well. Ultimately, needed to call an electrician and his tools were the name brand and gave same result. He fixed the issue and validated that these were just as good as his. Added it to the toolbox and didn't break the wallet for something I hardly use.
