Was this Answer Helpful ?If it is a coax connection, you don't "need" a high quality crimper, first off, if it's a crimping connector, they are all basically the same. Compression Crimpers are the ones that come differently, but most are universal. If you need either of those tools, that means you had to get a stripper and cutter too. You don't need to spend all that money if you're just doing a one time job. There are ways to cut the coax cord with a razor to get it how you want it and they also sell screw on connectors. Or an actual crimp connector, in which case all you'd have to do is, well crimp it.. squeeze the connector till it's right, using basically anything, a Crimper, pliers, or whatever. But as I said, if you wanna go cheap, buy screw on connector and you'll be done in 15 minutes. If you can't get it right with a razor, you might have to buy a stripper, which is the least expensive out of the 3 tools. Compressor is the most, then the cutter, then the stripper. Sorry for the long post, but I had to get that off my chest.
Was this Answer Helpful ?You'll need a crimper specifically designed for your connector ie. Data Shark or similar high quality crimper. Don't scrimp by getting an "el cheepo" tool they usually don't work very well.
