How do you arm and disarm the alarm?

Hello Valued Lowes Customer, thank you for your question. The unit has a magnetic piece that triggers the alarm. When in the ALARM position, if the protected window/door is opened (causing the alarm to separate from the magnet by more than 1/2”), the alarm siren will sound continuously until the door or window is closed (and the gap between the alarm and the magnet is less than 1/2”).
