Will the window alarm system sound if the window is broken instead of opened?


No, this sensor is attached to the frame of the window so it doesn’t have a glass breakage sensor built in. Jasco Products Tech Suport(Manufacturer)

No. The act of breaking the window will not trigger the alarm... the alarm gets triggered when the the peices (sensor and the magnet) are separated. It is possible that when the glass is broken and the intruder is climbing through the frame, that the magnet could get knocked off the frame, then the alarm would sound.
