Can someone who knows how to work these lights answer instead if the same guy who obviously never hooked up these lights.

I had to rewire mine... Meaning I had to cut off the male prong in and reconnect it, switching the wires. I did this because the lights were already installed and this was "easier" than returning them all. I feel your pain, these lights suck. But mine are all the same color after the mod.
