Can this be attached to metal door and frame?


It can but you would need to be sure to really insulate the alarm and magnet form the metal frame and door. You would need to either use more double sided tape or place a piece of wood on the door and frame and then attach the alarm to the wood. Jasco Products Tech Suport(Manufacturer)

yes, they will work wherever the provided double-sided tape will stick to. in most or all cases, metal doors would be fine.
