Great question, and good thinking. They include little cups that you mount to the wall to hold the bottom of the shade in the full down position. We ordered extras from the company to mount half way up, to hold the shade also in the 50% position. Works great, even with moderately high winds.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The bungee system does a great job of holding it down in the wind. We have them down most of the time, even in more wind than probably recommended. We had one set of end plugs (works with the bungees) come off but used silicone and have not had an issue since.
