What are your Cityposts and railings made of? Your website seems to imply that everything is 100% stainless steel.


Their answer is not true. The hardware supplied is a poor quality stainless. I’m guessing a 304 (not 316). The lag bolts rusted after the first rain.

Thanks for the question. Our cables and hardware are always stainless steel (316 alloy). The toprail is powder coated structural aluminum with 1/8" wall thickness. On lowes.com we offer zinc plated, powder coated steel posts only. For custom orders on our website at citypost.com we have stainless steel posts available but really only recommend that option in coastal markets (<5 miles to ocean).
