I have not tried it yet...However I believe it has enough power to handle old hardwoods that are square and flat...ps use a very sharp carbide bit...

Was this Answer Helpful ?yes absolutely. Usually requires a 1/2 in col-let for more choices but there are 1/4 ones too. but this should work excellent.

It is recommended to use a router table when cutting tongue and grooves. The 1617EVSPK fixed base can be mounted to a router table. We also make a carbide-tipped tongue and groove bit #84624M, designed to cut tongue and grooves on 1/2" through 3/4" thick material.
