1-gang horizontal outlet on exterior wall. Siding is not flat. So Hubbell Taymac 677594 outlet cover does not fit well. Want to put extender between outlet and outlet cover. Seems feasible? What is purpose / spacing of 12 holes on extender? Thanks


The mounting holes that are threaded, are 3.28” on center, from top to bottom, and offer the ability to install either a single yoke device in the center, or larger 2 yoke devices using the outer 4 holes. The unthreaded and larger holes are intended to let the cover mounting screws that would attach to the device yoke, to pass through the mounting plate, and not bottom out and restrict the cover from being attached.
