Can I replace my blackout shade with the light filtering w/o changing the mounting hardware? How do you release the blind from the mounting bracket?

Depending on the age of the original shade, you may have to change the brackets out. To uninstall the product - press the tabs of the installation bracket back toward the window. This will release the bottom of the headrail from the bottom of the brackets. Then rotate the headrail down toward you, off the front of the bracket. - Kimberly
