How do the no-hole slats staying in place fair with children? Can a child take the slats out easily from its place?

Thank you for your question. The privacy slats have notches along the out side of the slats that keep them in place on the ladder cords. They can be removed still by tilting the slat a bit and then sliding the slat out. - Kimberly
