Zinsser Wood Bleach is designed to brighten all wood surfaces including trim, paneling, floors and furniture. It bleaches new or stripped wood to a lighter, more uniform color. For interior use only. Apply Solution A with a new sponge, completely saturating the area to be bleached. Let stand 5 minutes for soft woods and 10 minutes for hard woods. While surface is still wet, use another sponge to apply Solution B over Solution A. Let stand overnight to dry. Sand lightly to remove residue and lighten wood. If a lighter shade is desired, repeat the process.

Used to strip steps that had very dark stain

The Clear Oil-Modified Wood Bleach works really well for restoring and brightening wood surfaces. I used it on some older wood that had dark stains and uneven coloring, and it noticeably lightened the wood and helped even out the tone. It applies easily and penetrates the wood well without leaving a heavy residue. After it dried, the surface looked much cleaner and more uniform, making it a great base before staining or sealing. This product is especially useful if you’re trying to remove disc...
