This model has a manufacturing flaw that affects the fridge side door. Side by side fridges have special hinges that, when opening the door far enough, will "lock" together and hold the door open. Two hinge grooves/notches lock in place when this happens. Both freezer and fridge side doors have metal stops that limit how far you can open the door. The freezer side is sized correctly where the notched hinges meet and the door will hold open (you can see the door rise just a smidge, then lower/si...

Ice maker setup is horrible

These refrigerators with the ice makers in the door are a mistake. The wires in the door break and then the ice maker doesn't work. I bought one of these a few years ago and am looking to replace it for this specific reason. The rest of the fridge is fine, except for the lack of a butter tray location.

Bought this fridge and the ice maker stopped working in 2 weeks. Ice box has to be half full to work. Plus the water dispenser wasn't coming out cold all the time. I called fistr time to report it. Lowes said i had to go thru the insurance.They made an apt 3 weeks out. .i called again whennthe water wasnt getting cold .Because I was still in my 30.days . , there ganna send me a new one. What was strange to me is that the insurance made an apt toncome out after the 30.days mark. LOwes should of ...
