Ice Maker stopped working

Not even a year old and ice maker is not working. I have spent over 2 hours on the phone with Whirpool and no one is helping me.

Our 11 year old Whirlpool refrigerator decided it was done. We like Whirlpool appliances as they are made in America so we went to Lowe's to see their selection. Terrible customer service

I did not check all the drawers when it was delivered and did not discover that the top freezer drawer was jammed and would not pull out. When I called, I was told it was too late for Lowe’s to address the issue and that I had to call whirlpool. They are sending a technician but not for 3 weeks.

Ice maker doesn't work & water tastes acrid

The refrigerator was delivered on July 5th. The ice maker does not work properly. The water dispenser dispenses water and I was told to throw out 3 gallons of water. The water tastes acrid and has an after taste. I was told to wait 24-48 hours from the time that the refrigerator was plugged in for the ice maker to start working and then throw away the first 3 batches of ice.
