Whirlpool 1.6-cu ft 1700 -Watt Countertop Microwave ( Black )

The product is fine. Curbside pickup at the Newnan location was not a pleasant experience. I checked in via the App and via the notification that told me the product was ready to pick up. After waiting 45 minutes, I called the Customer Service desk and was told there was no check-in received. However, a person from Customer Service brought my item out right away.

No beeps

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall good microwave. Sometimes you have to push the door open button a couple times for the door to open. Display light needs a dimmer, lights up the kitchen at night. One of main reasons for buying, it has mute the beep feature.

Child lock failure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Works like most microwave ovens. One BIG problem we had was turning off the child safety lock. We used the included directions which failed every time. One last try before calling for repair and the code worked. The good news is, we will NEVER lock it again.

Works fine but hard to use.

If you are a little slow in hitting the next button it does crazy things. heats as expected if just using the timer and power but that to is hard to do.

This one fit into my old whirlpool countertop microwave place , I hope it can be last a couple years

Microwave with very useful features.

Good microwave for the price

1200W power is at the upper end for this size. Cooks faster than our old unit. Controls are fine, especially after disabling the mandatory 2-step unlock process. A nice (but often overlooked) feature is the ability to use the timer and cook with the microwave at the same time. Unfortunately, we had to get a custom trim kit to fit the opening we had because the available kit from Whirlpool was too small. The microwave was on sale when we bought it, so things evened out.

best unit available on short notice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was forced to buy this unit to replace a 20 year-old unit that failed suddenly. it has been an adequate microwave. the power is a little bit higher than the one it replaces, but the overall volume and cooking chamber height are both lower than its predecessor. it would be a slightly better unit were the settings not so near to inscrutable. additionally, i do really like that it has a 24-hour clock option . . . but WHY OH WHY can i access ...

like the minimal look, clock off after a while

got it for a few months now, functions well so far the clock becomes off after a short period

Very Good Replacement Microwave Oven

Both ovens have a similar keypad and operating controls so it was easy to get up to speed on this oven. The cooking quality of this oven is excellent and it performs well with cooking, reheating, and warming tasks.
