costly mistake

we installed a Watts 1/4-in CPVC Push Fit In-Line Straight Valve on the water line for our refrigerator several months ago. It started leaking 2 days ago. We didn't notice it until several square yards of the hallway carpet on the other side of the wall was soaked. I am very displeased. It has taken several hours to remove water from the carpet, fans running for days, and I we probably need to replace the insulation under the floor. This could have been even a larger disaster if we had not caugh...

This product is amazingly easy to use. It would be perfect if it did not leak through the top blue section. I have purchased multiple replacements and am going to a copper 1/4 straight needle valve. This product should be removed from the shelves due to the defect in the manufacturing process. At almost $9 each this product should work!!!

There is only one word. "Easy".

As an engineer, I was dreading this project. I work in Residential Lot Development and Stormwater. One look at this "cheap plastic" and I was already working out the plan in my head for replacing it in a week. Boy! Was my pessimistic attitude wrong! The whole assembly I had purchased was installed in minutes. These push-fittings are the greatest thing since sliced bread! No more compression fittings! Whoo-hoo!

Valve leaked as soon as water pressure was turned on. Didn't leak at either connection, but it did leak from the blue control lever. Returned.

Does the job, but prone to drips from valve

The valve does the job, but it is prone to slow drip leaks from the valve area, which may stop over time. I have two of these installed, and both of them drip for a while after the valves are closed and opened.

Plastic Genius....

Although a little pricy the water valve is easy to install dependable and a tuff design. If you want simplicity and reliability choose this one.

Easy Installation

Straight forward application controlling Ice Maker water line.

Handy 1/4" valve

I've tried the brass T valves (3 for ice maker or humidifier) water line, and the brass never could regulate a real small trickle if needed. This one works better than anything else I've tried. So far very happy and no leaks.

Works as expected....

...no problems at all with this valve. I got this to use on our RO tank under the sink. Snipped the line and installed so I can isolate the supply without having to empty the tank. So far it has worked flawlessly.
