Caladiums are indigenous to Brazil and neighboring areas of South and Central America, where they grow in open areas of forests and along river banks. These tender bulbs are commercially cultivated in the sub tropics of Florida and Brazil. Caladiums love and require warmth and are easy to grow and maintain. They are known for their lush, contrasting edges, veins and multi-colored tropical foliage. Caladiums will produce unusual, white flowers that resemble pods. They are best grown grouped in the garden or in containers. Carousel is shorter and more highly branched then some other fancy-leaved varieties. This habit makes it an excellent choice for smaller pots and combination/patio pots. Carousel can tolerate 6-8 hours of morning sun.
