Holds up well

Held up after 7 years. Installed more cabinets and got another gallon since I know it works well.

It's a "take a chance" paint

I've paint my cupboards before and it lasted almost 10 years looking great. This time I have chipping already and it's only been 4 months. The paint is very thick. You have to be careful when mixing it. I recommend doing it by hand. Once you get bubbles in it, it takes awhile and lots of effort to get them out. I'm in love with the color but upset with the chipping. Be sure to read directions and don't skip or shorten any steps.

Great Paint

This paint is easy to apply, very durable and easy to clean. Excellent for heavy use applications like cabinets and furniture, just like the name says.

Awful paint

One of the worst, if not the worst, can of paint I've ever used. It has awful coverage despite it being very thick to put on - I needed three coats. The sheen is very dull. You have to be very careful putting it on or you'll get brush or roller strokes. I should have stuck to Sherwin Williams. And it's very expensive.

I used this paint a few years ago on a cabinet and I really liked it as it was everything it claimed to be but I recently purchased another gallon for a new project and it was not the same. Freshly mixed black and shaken and when I got it home there was a 1/2" of settled solids at the bottom of the can that was so stiff I couldn't break it up with a paint stick. Check you are getting what you asked for.

My experience was with the Lowe's Employee and not the product. I ordered HGTV paint. The clerk told me that it would be 15 to 20 minute wait. When I came back to pick up the paint, it was Valspar and not the HGTV. One can was significantly dented the other fine. When I asked her why, she said she was trying to save me money. Works great, no issues

The wife and I did a good amount of research, looking at DIY sites, Bob Vila, and pro painters, before making the decision to go with Valspars furniture and cabinet paint. We have so far used this paint on our entire kitchen cabinetry, an electric fireplace, and multiple tables, as you will see. The process of using this paint is NOT quick if you want perfect results.
