This paint is awful. Especially using it on an existing door. Obviously you can't shut the door tight until it dries and after three coats over essentially the same (more or less) color, the few primed spots are showing through like a spotlight. (White primer) I sued this stuff on my shutters which I sprayed and after a bunch of coats it covered nicely. That is the only way I would use this stuff. On a door you need to close? Never again. This trim paint doesn’t cover and is not good.
This trim paint is horrible. It is watery no matter how much you stir it, and it doesn’t cover at all. I don’t know if I got a defective can or what, but I will never buy this trim paint again. I am disappointed because the wall paint is fantastic.

Absolute trash
Paint would not level out, no matter what brush was used, no matter how much leveler was used, and no matter the technique. Nothing but poor coverage and roping marks all day long. Ruined 100$ worth of new trim!!! I've never had an issue with a Valspar product until now, and ill never used this trim paint again.

Be sure of your color, easy cleanup
I actually had to buy 2 of these, because the first color I picked ended up looking a little different than the color swatch did. Not quite sure why. So, I'd say be careful of that. Had to buy a second quart of a different color to get the match that I was looking for. That's what it is, not the paints fault. Paint went on well, easy. When first applied, it looked very LIGHT compared to how it looked when it dried. Try it somewhere and see how that looks when dry to make sure it's ok. It...

I have spent thousands just this year alone and it seems no matter how I go about it, something is going to get messed up or back logged or just non existent all together. I ordered this paint in white.... I get to the house and begin to paint.... guess what?? not the first but of tint so it dried clear.... seriously??? now I have to do twice as much work and the prep door to paint with actual white paint.
