Works great if you’re careful
I have used Valspar antiquing glaze for multiple projects. I have used it alone, combined with general finishes vandyke brown, I have single coated and multi-layered it. It is very important to do proper prep of the surface before applying. You cannot apply this to a finished glossy surface and expect it to adhere. I sand, prime, sand again, paint and finish sand before applying. Photos of the various projects I have done are included with this review. When used in light coats on properly ...

The glaze goes on easy with a rag or brush and gave the perfect driftwood finish I was going for.

washes right off
I loved how this product looked, but after letting it dry for several days, I tried adding a water based General Finishes topcoat. The product came right off like washable marker if I went over my lap lines. I ended up having to redo the whole project. I was VERY upset!!!
