An integrated rain sensor will close the skylight automatically, in case of inclement weather

Best invention ever
I have 8 of the solar powered skylights with the partial light blocking shades. I did have some leaks in two skylights initially, but it was errors in the installation, not the skylight. I have had them for at least five years now and I can say that I absolutely love them. We live in the mountains in Utah so it is a fairly dry climate and cools off a ton at night. WiFi Gateway = Garbage
I just purchased a home that has 8 solar Velux Skylights. Each Skylight has a shade in it, which is run on a separate remote. Beyond that, I have a lock and sensor switch. There are 18 battery operated devices to manage. This is just stupid. The second issue is the Gateway. Stay away form this option to consolidate the remotes. It only operates on a 2.4 ghz network. Not Happy At All
This solar skylight model KLI110 came with my newly constructed house. I am very unhappy that about 2 years after I moved in the skylight no longer opens or closes. I thought it was the battery but I changed the batteries of the remote. We had 2 Velux solar powered ‘fresh air’ skylights recently put in our living room. It is a relatively small room and we had the ceiling taken out to the roof in a small front portion of the room. Remote no longer working
I have had Velux skylights since 2000 - and I love them. About ten years ago, we replaced the master bedroom 4x4' Velux skylight with a Velux solar skylight with blackout blinds. We loved it. However, the 3LR A02 US remote controller no longer works - so I have not been able to open or close, or open & close the shade, in about two years. Do you have a replacement remote?

I love the skylights. I would give it 5 stars, but the design/implementation of the remote controls is horrible. First, there is no backplate. They are designed to be wall mounted. One benefit of a remote control is that you don’t have to get up to walk to the wall switch. Where is the option to not be wall mounted? Removable screens on Velux Solar Skylight?
Our former manual Velux skylight screens could be removed from the interior, as needed for cleaning. Recently had several replaced with Velux Solar Skylights and somehow, the way they are installed is not enough allowance remove the screens from below. Roofer says they can be removed from the top, ie from the roof! SO one has to climb a ladder to the roof in order to remove/clean Vellux Solar skylight screens? Please confirm ASAP if this is correct.

Kitchen transformation
I replaced the original skylights with the solar powered fresh air skylights wnd WOW! It’s the first time since I purchased my home that my kitchen has been this bright, and now I can vent the windows when I cook to release the heat in there as well. This was part of my kitchen upgrade and I am so glad I went with them. I can’t believe how much light I was missing, because the old ones required the 10 ft poll to just open the shade, and neither I nor the previous owner had ever opened them.
