This is a very bright light and I loved it but it takes 9 AA batteries. I used them to walk my dog at night and with this I could keep track of her without having to follow her. Do not at any time leave it in a drawer with the batteries in. If you leave the batteries in it. the weakest battery will suck the life out of the others then leak and distroy the light. DO NOT BUY THIS FLASHLIGHT!!! It tricks you into being MagLight quality and it literally fell apart a month after I bought it. It poorly manufactured,the threads are made of cheap metal and stripped out. Absolute worst product I’ve ever purchased in my life. Looked the look but turned to crap. Broke after 2 years

Just stopped working after 2 years and it is unrepairable.

Bought the 1,000 Lumen model eight months ago and then the smaller version ~750 Lumens 3 months later because I was impressed with the brightness. Then the problems began. Both flashlights would only work if pointed towards the sky at about 10:00. I could never get the larger one to consistently work. The smaller one is working currently, but I’m not holding my breath. I tossed the larger one in the garbage. I only give these a 2 Star because when they do work, they are really bright. However ...
