The LEI-590-HCC-62 is a kit containing the LEI-590 SD/HD-SDI open caption generator and closed caption decoder, along with the HDMI cross converter to 3GA/HD/SD-SDI. The combination of the LEI-590 and HCC-62 allows for open captions to be generated on HDMI video. This is a great cost effective solution for stadiums, live events, or any set-up using HDMI video that needs open captions to be generated and displayedThe LEI-590 accepts standard 608 caption data or text data via an IP interface. It then embeds the caption data onto a SD/HD SDI video stream and outputs the video with open captions. The LEI-590 would be useful for live events such as sporting events or live video conferencing. The LEI-590 is a more cost effective solution than a closed caption encoder/decoder when only open captions are needed. The HCC-62 is a stand-alone unit that will convert Serial Digital Interface ( SDI) to High Definition Multimedia Interface ( HDMI). It will also simultaneously convert HDMI to SDI. This is the primary purpose of the device however there are three other modes of operation. The LED near the power plug will indicate the operating mode and indicate that the unit has Power. The unit has buttons for changing the mode of operation up or down. The first two channels of audio are passed through.
