Cheaply made
Poor construction parts were not cut square Cheaply made hardware and fasteners very disappointing

I was hoping it would come as a one piece instead of having to glue the sides together and then gluing it to the studs.
Better than the foil zipper covers
While looking online to find good insulation and air sealing products I stumbled on this. I ended up having a few questions and called energy guardian, ended up getting through to their voicemail but didn't leave a message since I figured I'd call back later. Shortly after I received a call from Dennis who made sure to returned missed calls. Rare customer service that is wonderful. Dennis filled me in on the company and install tips (use just a little glue and it goes a long way).
Satisfies the energy requirement for permit
The most important thing about this cover is that it allows me to easily comply/satisfy energy requirement for the permit
Not worth it
So i'm looking at this review from two perspectives and why it's not a product worth your time and money. 1, the DIY type 2, the "out of the box" type The product itself is 6x separate pieces of styrofoam blocks that you have to glue together. In an ideal world it sounds like an easy solution, but..... 1, to the DIY type ...this is not the product for you and you'll feel ripped off. This is literally the same as going to the gas station and buying $100 worth of Styrofoam coolers to cut up...
Grossly overpriced for quality and materials
While I suspect this attic stair cover will do what is expected, and the design is actually sound, paying nearly $200 for some styrofoam pieces and an inadequate amount of glue is a rip-off. The pieces we received weren't even cut to square. I guess I'd recommend it, but only because there's not another better option out there, short of having something custom-built. I still feel fleeced.
