What Customers Are Saying
The mug is praised for its excellent insulation, keeping hot beverages hot for up to 5 hours. The locking flip-top lid is a standout feature, allowing for easy, spill-proof drinking. The mug is also noted for its sturdy construction, sleek design, and comfortable grip. However, some reviewers have experienced issues with the lid breaking or cracking, and the 12-hour heat retention claim may not be fully accurate. Overall, the mug is considered a high-quality, functional, and stylish travel companion that effectively maintains the temperature of drinks.

I've had 4 of these bottles and kept buying them because they kept my hot tea nicely warm throughout the day. However the top design is a significant flaw. I've replaced the lids 3 times and the last one broke when the bottle fell off my kitchen counter. Unfortunately I'm not replacing another lid...it's just not worth it. And the other bottle, the 18 ounce with the screw on top does not fit in my car's cupholder. I am so disappointed.

Love this mug!
Have 3 of the coffee travel mugs for several years and use them regularly, never any issues with them, these cups are great and the 17oz fits in the car cup holder which is exactly what I needed.

Mug Top ???
I've had this mug for several years. I believe I've replaced 2 tops and I currently have 1 that's unusable because it will not stay closed and 1 that has lost the spring open feature and I always get a coffee nose when I drink from it.

Best traveler/ tumbler ever
I’ve had my Takeya traveler for six years now. It’s never failed me. Keeps my coffee HOT during my hour-plus commute to work. I lock the lid and sling it in my bag while walking into work and have had no issues with leaking or spills, even after dropping several times in parking deck. I only hand wash it. Have replaced the coffee and tea-stained plastic pieces as needed.

Love it
I love everything about this bottle, except the flimsy plastic ring. If only it was more sturdy like made out of metal. The plastic ring is broken but I still use it. TAKEYA please fix the only design failure on this bottle so I can buy more.

Ring Material and Design Flaw
I would have given a 5 star review. Unfortunately the ring design is the biggest design and material failure I've come across next to the Yugo automobile from the 80's. Come on, let's use a titanium ring and an actual pin / screw for the hinge.

Won't get fooled again - redesign the ring Takeya
We have four of these bottles - four of them. We love the quality of the bottle itself - it really does keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold and didn't leak. But as many others have commented - the lid sucks big time. All of our lids have broken. We bought a bunch of replacement lids and now they are broken too. As the saying goes - "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me". Well I won't be fooled again. I am looking for a different product. As a note - Takeya if you ...

Bad design
After a weekend of use, the handle broke off and left very sharp edges on the bottle. It is now unusable

Love buying lids!
Love the container, the size, the insulation, the feel in my hand. I've purchased several in the 17 and 25oz sizes. I've purchased 3x as many replacement lids. I loved that a new lid was an option. I didn't think I'd get sick of buying them. Lots of broken lids. Just bought 3 more, we will see if that will last a year.
