MDF material is for priming and painting only. This replacement cabinet drawer front fits 12-in wide framed kitchen base cabinets. When measuring for a replacement cabinet drawer front take a measurement of the back side of your existing cabinet drawer front by measuring the width first, followed by the height. All cabinet drawer fronts are sanded on an automated sanding line to deliver a smooth, finish-ready product. All replacement cabinet drawer fronts are manufactured and shipped from the USA. Cabinet drawer fronts are available in custom sizes. For custom size cabinet drawer fronts please visit your local Lowe's store and consult with a Lowe's kitchen specialist. This cabinet drawer front style is also available in paint grade hard maple, cherry and hard maple. Shaker slab coordinates with shaker style cabinet doors.

Why is a door 90% the price of an entire cabinet?

Riddle me this. Seriously, why is a single DOOR almost 90% the price of an ENTIRE cabinet? Does that make any sense at all? A door is basically a plank with trim. The cabinet is an entire box, plus hinge hardware. Where is the discrepancy here? Are we just getting hosed?
