Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
The reviews for this bathtub are predominantly negative. Many customers reported the tub cracking or breaking within a short time after installation. Several described the tub as thin and flimsy, with one measuring it to be as thin as a garbage bag. Many had to pay substantial costs to repair or replace the tub after it failed. There were also complaints about the tub being narrower than expected and uncomfortable for bathing. The overall consensus is that this is a poor quality product not worth the money, and customers strongly advise against purchasing it.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews.Poor quality- very disappointed
We purchased this tub for a bathroom renovation in our home. We checked out the floor model at the store, and loved the idea of a 15" soaking depth, which would have been a world of difference from our previous 11" tub. However, the only way to get 15" of soaking depth is to install an overflow cover that can be placed with the opening on the TOP #rather than the conventional opening at the bottom#. Otherwise, the bottom of the overflow drain sits at about 12" from the bottom of the tub, so your...
Afraid this is going to fail
We just finished the restoration of the bathroom and this tub was installed. While the tile installer was kneeling in the tub grouting the tile, the tub creaked! Then while moving around it creaked some more. I went and stood in the tub as if showering (can't yet because grout isn't dry) and the tub is creaking and making cracking sounds and I fear the tub is going to crack and our restoration was just completed! If it cracks, that is thousands of dollars worth of tile, material and labor that i...
Keep Looking!!!
This tub might be cheaper but you get what you pay for. It is very thin acrylic. After installation it was cracking every time you stepped in it. Unfortunately after only 5 months the side of the tub cracked and splintered open and we are talking about a 150lb person stepping into it which caused this. Had a contractor install this and there were no visible signs of wear or tear when coming out of box. I'm not sure how this tub is getting so many good reviews on here but good luck on finding inf...
I NEVER POST REVIEWS, BUT THIS TUB IS SOOOOO BAD..
...that my 130lb wife put her foot through it when she took a step back while showering. The tub was installed properly by a pro, who used mortar. I saw the mortar after the tub was taken out to be replaced. I then measured the thickness of the tub floor (after cutting it in half) and found out that it varied from 2.12mm (where she put her foot through) to 3.92mm. I HAVE GARBAGE BAGS ALMOST AS THICK AS 2.12MM. You are better off bathing in a plastic bucket. At least they refunded me for the tub,...
Measure before you buy! This tub is not 30x60.
This is a very nice-looking tub, but be sure to measure before purchasing. After a major water leak, I had to have most of my bathroom torn out, including my tub and tile walls. I researched for days to find a deeper replacement tub and was pleased to find such an inexpensive and nice-looking Lowes store-brand tub. I think most acrylic tubs look cheap, but this one looks very much like porcelain...very sleek and shiny, and the design is pretty. I didn't really think to measure it because my cont...
A disappointing purchase!
I purchased this tub a little over a year ago. I had it installed professionally on my second floor bathroom. Recently, I noticed a water stain on the ceiling of the first floor. The stain was caused by a slow water leak from the bathtub's drain mount. The mount ripped around the drain lip. It is disappointing to make a purchase of this type to have it fail on me. I used to believe bathtubs were forever. In addition to the water damage to my house the leak caused, I will have to rip out the tub ...
Don't throw your money down the drain
Was very happy with this tub, until the bottom cracked, with absolutely no warning, less than three years after being installed. The warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on, since they disavow all responsibility for the damage to the structure, and is two-tiered depending on where it's used. Failure is failure, and garbage is garbage. Also, good luck getting any help from Lowe's: they send you to the manufacturer (not really who makes it, just the poor schmucks who have to listen to th...
Great Buy for price
Just installed this bathtub with the 3 wall surround. I was a little worried about the negative reviews, but didn't want to spend much money on this auxiliary bathroom. This was new construction, so I followed the stud layout and added extra bracing. Everything was plumb and square. My floor was level. The tub floor was very solid, must have a plywood base in the fiberglass. Test fit the tub and surround, you may need to shim some studs on old construction. I did add a mound of mortar by the dra...
DO NOT BUY THIS BATHTUB!!!
We bought this tub 1 week ago. We installed it exactly according to the instructions. We made a custom tub surround and after installing the floor, dry wall, etc we stepped into the tub to install the surround and the bottom of the tub in the back corner cracked and broke. Then when my husband knelt in the tub to look at it he placed his hand on the other corner of the tub and it cracked there as well. Now not only do we have to replace the tub but we have to tear out all the drywall and surroun...
Beware of drain and overflow offset!!
the vertical center line of the drain hole and the overflow hole on this tub are offset by about 1-1/4"......This means that you cannot use a ridged (e.g.brass) overflow and drain assembly (which would typically have the drain stopper level mounted through the overflow faceplate.) As far as I can see, you are stuck with using some sort of flexible overflow pipe/kit, such as a WatcoFlex bath waste...check with drain mfg to make sure it will work for this particular tub...OR, just get a 'normal' t...
