The Green Giant Hedge is a fast grower, up to 3 feet per year. The plants can create a lush windbreak or privacy screen in no time. Extremely versatile in the landscape, this broad, dense pyramidal evergreen maintains its rich green color through the hottest, driest days of summer. It also tolerates heavy snow and ice with ease. It has few pest or disease problems. Prune in spring or late summer if you want to maintain a specific height. Also, this is a deer resistant variety, so the nice pyramidal shape will remain in tact for many years. This is a more heat tolerant variety and is ideal in landscapes in US Hardy zones 5 to 9.
