Brownii Yew is a low maintenance and trouble free plant that is ideal for a hedge or as a foundation planting. It was born to be sheared and pruned. Brownii easily accepts shearing into standard hedge forms at whatever height you choose, from 4 to 10 feet tall. Brownii is a male clone that will not form the typical red poisonous berries that most yews produce. All of our yews are field grown in western Michigan's sandy loam soils, so it has a very well developed fibrous root system. Never spent a day of it's life in a pot. So, it has never had to suffer from a pot bound root system and there is less transplant shock and quicker adaptation when planted into a new soil type.
Each offer includes one plant grown in a 2.25 gallon pot
Space plants 5 feet apart for a hedge or 7 feet apart for individual plantings
