Constant Spinning and Damaged Threads—Annoyed
I used these to mount posts for my new vinyl railing, and they were a huge pain to work with. Even with the right masonry drill bit, the anchors often wouldn’t set at the bottom of the hole. When I tried tightening the bolt, it would just spin, so I couldn’t get it secure. When hammering the anchors in, the top of the nut kept getting damaged, which stripped the threads and made tightening even harder. This was the one part of my project that took forever.
